I told the driver to pull into the nearest yard, we swapped units before dawn and saved the load - no claim, no lies to the customer. For my five-truck outfit in the PNW that kind of heads-up is gold.

Hauling refrigerated loads across the Northeast for nine years, I live on my phone for any freight updates. ParkourSC's mobile app actually saved a load for me once - a temperature spike alert popped up instantly and I pulled over to fix the issue before it got worse. The map and milestone view are straightforward and have cut down the constant back-and-forth with dispatch, though the app can drain my battery if left running all day.
