Last Thursday a reefer carrying pharmaceutical samples warmed to 12°C and the app never sent the alarm until we called the driver - by then one pallet was ruined. Push alerts are hit-or-miss and the map routinely shows stale GPS points for 30–45 minutes, so “last seen” timestamps are basically useless. I manage 40 trucks and after twenty years in the business I can tell when a tracking app slows down operations; this one makes exception handling take twice as long. The mobile client also kills background location on many phones, forcing drivers to keep it open (and blowing through their batteries). We took about a $2,200 hit on product and paid extra labor because of the delay; until notifications and background tracking are fixed we won’t use it for temperature-sensitive loads.
