I’ve got three rigs and 25 years hauling the PNW, so that quick setup (plus one short call with support) was a huge time-saver - only gripe is patchy cell out on some mountain passes.
The GPS trackers stayed connected when I needed them most. On long hauls across the Cascades and through several port handoffs they rarely lost signal, and ETA updates were usually within a 15–20 minute window of actual arrival. Occasional gaps in sensor uploads during tunnels and container transfers cost a star, but the steady location feed made dispatching and customer updates far less frantic for my 30-truck fleet on the West Coast.
The live ETA updates cut my calls to drivers overnight. I used to run everything off driver phone calls and a messy spreadsheet, but Tive’s tracking and automatic ETA messages mean I actually know when a load will arrive without chasing people - huge time saver. Running three trucks in the Southeast for nine years, that one feature paid for itself fast.
