Mae Kris's review of OneRail
I manage a 150-truck fleet in the Northeast and have been doing it for 28 years. We paid a premium to get OneRail up and running - setup fees plus per-delivery charges made finance nervous at first. What actually made me happy was the automated matching engine: it started pairing short local hops to nearby couriers and cut our empty miles noticeably within a month. After about three months the savings in fuel and overtime covered most of the monthly fees, so for our scale it felt worth the sticker price (smaller outfits might not see the same math). My one real gripe is billing complexity - different line items for live tracking and exception handling mean you need a careful contract review - but the matching efficiency made it a net win for our operation.
