Bottom line: OneRail's automated matching did more harm than good for our operation. It kept assigning long cross-town hops to drivers who normally cover tightly clustered routes, creating huge deadhead miles and shredding our planned blocks; one run padded a 90-minute day into three hours of needless driving. With a 50-truck fleet in the Northeast, that mismatch translated into extra fuel, two paid overtime shifts, and at least a dozen missed delivery windows that cost customer credits and complaints. Support suggested configuration tweaks but the system reverted to the same poor picks within days, so we had to switch back to manual assignments - painful and time-consuming, but cheaper than letting it keep eating margin. I want the automation to save us time; instead it created work and added costs, and that's why we're only at 2 stars.
