Margie Kovacek's review of Descartes MacroPoint
The real-time ETA consolidation is the feature I liked most, but inconsistent carrier feed quality often eroded that advantage. We moved from a mostly manual system - spreadsheets and dispatcher calls - and our admin staff managing 250 trucks across the Southwest with fifteen years of experience found MacroPoint reduced routine check-ins, though we still revert to phone calls on several lanes where feeds lag or drop. I'm genuinely torn: it speeds a lot of everyday work, yet in practice it feels like a partial replacement rather than the full upgrade we expected.
