Margie Kovacek's review of Detrack

I've used Detrack for three years. What truly stood out was the live ETA feed tied to GPS pings; it cut inbound customer calls by roughly half and allowed dispatch to reroute drivers proactively when traffic snarls appeared. With 15 years in logistics managing a 250-truck fleet in the Southwest, I appreciate that level of real-time visibility - occasional GPS drift on remote stretches cost a star, but overall it has noticeably improved our daily delivery execution.

Four years managing a 25-truck fleet in the Midwest made me picky about onboarding. Getting the basic tracking live was pleasantly quick - drivers installed the app and I could see location pings within an hour. But the rest was fiddly: route imports required a very specific CSV layout, custom fields didn't map intuitively, and a few drivers couldn't finish login due to odd phone permissions, which meant a lot of back-and-forth with support late into the week. Support helped sort most issues, but many fixes felt like workarounds rather than a clean setup, so I'm torn about the long-term payoff. If you want fast live tracking out of the box, it delivers; just be ready to roll up your sleeves for anything beyond the basics.

During last month's downpour when a few towers went quiet, Detrack kept our trucks visible. I've got 60 trucks across the Southeast and nine years in dispatch - that steady GPS feed in low-signal spots is what made me stick with it. Proof capture stuttered once or twice, but if you want reliable live location when things go sideways, it delivers.

Bottom line: Detrack's mobile app actually makes my route days less chaotic. The photo-first proof of delivery is the one feature that won me - snap a pic, get a signature, and the update goes out instantly so I don’t have to mess with paperwork at each stop. Been driving six years around the Midwest and this saves me a solid 10–15 minutes by the end of the day.
