Nestor Stiedemann's review of Chain.io
Bottom line: Chain.io's pre-built carrier connectors mishandle and drop critical tracking events, which destroyed the usefulness of their visibility feed for us. In one case a carrier's "arrived" status was mapped to a vague "in transit" state for two loads, resulting in drivers waiting unnecessarily and about $750 in overtime and chargebacks; we then spent an afternoon manually reconciling events. That single failure undermined trust in the platform for our ten-truck operation and made the promised automation more of a liability than a help.
