Fleet management in the Southeast with a 60-truck operation and eleven years in the business meant I needed a carrier partner who could be brought online quickly. Getting started with Ascent was mostly straightforward - the account setup and paperwork required a couple of iterations, but their onboarding specialist kept us on track and we had lanes scheduled within a week. Customs brokerage setup took a little longer than I hoped. What genuinely made me happy was how fast their PEAK API pushed live pickup and ETA data into our TMS; that single integration reclaimed hours from our dispatchers every day.

...getting the first load live felt smoother than I expected. Their rep actually sat on a call and mapped our Southeast lanes into PEAK while I drank my coffee, and that hands-on setup got us running fast - the platform clicked once the lanes were in. Only gripe was a one-day delay on customs verification, otherwise solid start.

Yesterday an urgent ventilator shipment routed through Detroit showed "delivered" in Ascent's mobile app while our driver was still waiting at the receiving dock. The app's status sync lag and opaque error messages prevented us from rerouting or confirming receipt quickly; in-app updates failed repeatedly and critical edit functions are buried behind counterintuitive menus. I'm admin-staff supporting a 250-truck fleet in the Southwest, and this glitch caused a four-hour delay, a contractual penalty, and unnecessary driver overtime - unacceptable for time-critical freight.
