Bottom line: Mode's mobile app is handy for quick load checks but too unreliable for us to trust it alone. The map-based visibility and rate lookups are fast and usually accurate, so dispatch can eyeball lanes without firing up the desktop. But push notifications drop or arrive late, and the app has locked up twice this month when drivers tried to update delivery status - maddening in the middle of a run. With 25 trucks in the Midwest, we appreciate being able to pull up bills of lading and sign PODs from the field, yet the document scanner is slow and forces a lot of manual follow-up calls. I'm torn: it shaves time on routine checks, but those reliability quirks mean we keep a backup process and treat the app as helpful but imperfect.
