Emory Rolfson's review of Landstar
...and then the Landstar load vanished from their portal the morning my driver was two hours out. We sat at a scale for six hours because the oversized permit hadn't been filed by their agent, while their tracking app stubbornly showed "at origin" the whole time. I'm a fleet manager running 85 trucks in the Pacific Northwest with 16 years of experience, so I know how costly a blind six-hour delay is - $2,400 in detention and missed handoffs for us, plus a furious customer. They offered a $150 credit and a shrug from the local agent; not helpful. After this, I won't be trusting Landstar with time-sensitive or permit-heavy loads until their communication actually improves.
