Llewellyn Dibbert's review of Landstar
Last Tuesday one of their drivers called about a sudden bridge closure that forced a two-hour detour, and the Landstar agent rebooked the load and held the original pay - no fuss. Compared to the last broker I ran with, where we'd have drivers stuck and me on hold forever, their tracking and agent autonomy are actually refreshing; I'm a dispatcher running about 60 trucks in the Southeast and after nine years you notice the little things. Still, rates can be all over the place and their billing paperwork ate up more admin time than I'm used to, so I'm torn - great for messy reroutes, not my first choice when I'm needing steady margins.
