During an I-5 snow slide they reconsigned a stuck trailer to a nearby GEODIS cross-dock, updated the portal ETA in real time and texted my driver so the customer still got the shipment that day - small fleet, five trucks, so that one saved run mattered. Only ding is their invoicing took a week to sort out, but for keeping customers happy they get a solid 4/5 from me.
Bottom line: GEODIS mostly works, but not consistently enough for tight windows. Their U.S. tracking dashboard actually helps when it refreshes and a warehouse once pulled a pallet same-day to save me, yet I’ve had last-mile ETAs slide two hours with no notice - for a three-truck owner-operator on the West Coast that can turn a good run into a wasted day.
Owner-operator in the Southwest, only a year in, I jumped to GEODIS thinking their tech would make life easier - big mistake. Their portal looked fancy but gave wrong ETAs, no real-time updates, and I got charged detntion after sitting 3 hours at the dock because nobody confirmed the slot - cost me a day of pay and fuel. My old regional broker would just text and pay quick; this felt like endless hold muisc and paperwork, so 2/5 from me.
