Last spring one of our reefers got reassigned through Echo and the driver ended up sitting two hours outside Albany because the pickup address changed in the app at the last minute. Their EchoShip map makes those changes way clearer than the clunky email chain my old broker used, and I run ten trucks in the Northeast, but support's response time is hit-or-miss so the tech wins some days and creates extra headaches on others.

Two years into owning my own rig in the Pacific Northwest, I lean on mobile tools to keep solo runs from turning into chaos. Echo’s app nails the push alerts - real-time ETA updates and quick proof-of-delivery uploads saved me from standing around at a few docks and cut down a ton of phone tag. It can be a bit laggy on older phones, but that live ETA ping that let me reroute without calling dispatch earned it four stars from me.

Bottom line: their customer service cost me real money. Support promised callbacks twice while EchoShip showed the load “in transit” and my driver sat three hours - detention fees and a missed reload I had to swallow. After 20 years running my own rig on the West Coast, I expect someone to actually escalate issues instead of reading a script; won’t be using Echo again.
