...thought paying Hub Group's premium would be worth it. Their per-load rates ran about 18–22% higher than my regular carriers, and the $350/month Hub Connect access fee felt like a joke when two loads sat in limbo for 36 hours and we still got dinged for detention. End result: roughly $2,100 in extra charges last month alone, which wiped out a small contract bonus and cost me a customer credit. After 18 years running a 50-truck operation out of the Northeast I expect predictable billing - this was anything but. Save your money; their price didn't buy me reliability.
