When one of our high-priority electronics pallets sat in DSV's warehouse for 48 hours because a manifest error wasn't fixed, we lost more than time. They quoted $1,250 door-to-door; the final invoice came in at $1,950 after a handful of “accessorials” and a rerouting fee I never signed off on. That $700 surprise, plus roughly $1,100 in driver detention and re-run costs for two of my trucks, erased the margin on that shipment. I've run a 40-truck fleet for twenty years - transparent billing matters, and DSV's paperwork and billbacks made it impossible to trust their estimates. The tracking tools were fine, but between surprise charges and the production hits, it wasn't worth the price; I won't be using them for high-value loads again.
