Yesterday at a busy DC the KN mobile app timed out and wouldn’t upload my POD so I had to email a pic and call ops - not fun. Been hauling 12 years in the Midwest and the web KN Login gives decent visibility but the app is clunky, crashin and laggs on my phone, yet every now and then it’ll show exactly what I need which makes me torn. Three stars because when it works it saves time, but half the time it feels like a gamble.
Real-time tracking on the KN app is what sold me. Push alerts actually match what's happening - if the trailer clears customs or hits a delay I get an update so I don't spend the afternoon calling dispatch, and the ETA re-calcs are usually spot on which saves a ton of headache. Been running solo for a year down in the Southwest so I need an app that works on meh cell, and this one stays snappy, uploads POD pics quick and rarely crashes; theres the odd hiccup but it's pretty reliable.
and when my last pharma load got hung up at the docks, KN Login kept pushing live ETAs so I didn't waste half a day sitting at the lot - that visibility saved me real time. Support answered when I called, but honestly the tracking was the one thing that made the whole run work for us out here in the Northeast.
