The platform's timeline was clear enough to show the missed berth and the alternate vessel routing, so my dispatcher could call the consignee with a concrete new ETA instead of guessing. Customer service did take a half-hour to answer a question about customs release, which is why I don't give five stars, but that hiccup didn't undo the fact that the visibility prevented detention fees and avoided forced layovers. I'm sticking with Kuehne + Nagel on tight lanes - that one timely notification saved a driver day and kept a client from blowing up at us.
