The route-optimization engine in Kaleris TMS is what sold me; it doesn't just spit out routes, it actively reshuffles loads when a dock runs late or traffic snarls. It re-routed three of our trucks last month in real time to keep appointment windows intact, and the “re-optimize now” button is dangerously addictive. In the first three weeks we saw empty miles drop around 12% and on-time pickups climb by roughly 8% - numbers that actually show up on my P&L. The interface is blunt but fast, so dispatchers didn't need weeks of training to trust the suggestions. After twenty years running a forty-truck operation in the Midwest, I can say this feature alone paid for the subscription.
