Honestly, Freightview's rate comparison tool was the thing that drove me up the wall. It routinely showed a lower rate that vanished after tender - missing fuel surcharges or accessorials that turned a supposedly cheap load into an extra $500–$1,200 hit once carriers corrected their bills. We manage 50 trucks and after 18 years in the business I can spot a flaky carrier a mile away, but the system didn’t flag capacity or rate validity, so we ended up rebooking, paying detention, and eating customer chargebacks. Support dragged their feet while we scrambled to fix shipments. Fine for one-off quotes, maybe, but for a mid-sized fleet trying to protect margins it felt like gambling with our freight costs.
