Last Thursday a driver missed a Gary pickup and I had about 90 minutes to fix it before detention - RigBooks' live location map and quick dispatch notes let me find him, ping him, and reroute another truck in under ten minutes, which saved us a hefty fee. I run 40 trucks out of the Midwest and after 18 years on the job that one feature paid for itself that week.

Twenty-eight years in the trucking business, overseeing a 150-truck fleet in the Northeast, and the IFTA reporting module in RigBooks is the feature that grabbed my attention first. Instead of wrestling with paper logs and a dozen spreadsheets, it pulls mileage by state from our telematics, auto-calculates taxable gallons, and presents a clear state-by-state breakdown that actually matches what our accountant needs. I liked being able to annotate trips - add fuel purchases, correct yard moves, and then export a tidy report; it saved us nearly a week of work last quarter. Quirks: occasional GPS gaps on low-signal routes will split a run across states and force manual fixes, which gets tedious when you're working through 150 units. Still, that one feature cut down the reporting headache so much that the subscription paid for itself quickly; I’m giving four stars because the mapping edits could be smoother.

Yesterday my phone froze while I was trying to upload a BOL and the form wouldn't save - I had to re-enter everything at a cold rest stop. Been solo for two years and out here in the PNW the app's offline mode is a lifesaver when it actually works, but more often than I'd like it hangs on sync and sometimes creates duplicate entries. I like having loads, IFTA miles and docs all in one mobile spot, yet the UI gets cramped on smaller phones and the map lags so often I end up calling dispatch anyway.
